A new group - or an old one. Doesn't make any difference to me. A big group or a small one. Doesn't make any difference to me.
I like groups. It's nice to browse around photos within certain theme or style, and learn from those. See the different approaches on same subject or theme.
I do not like groups that are not moderated or where quantity is considered something to be advertised and quality is not maintained at all. I do not like "everything goes" or "no limits" -groups. I simply prefer quality over quantity - at least as far as photos are concerned. I do understand, that quality, likes or dislikes are subjects, that varies from person to person, but nevertheless...
I do not like censorship. But I think a healthy amount of self-censorship would not hurt anybody. Quite often it'll have the opposite effect. I think.
Posting a photo to a group for wider audience is a way to make it more visible to people outside your network. Excellent. Posting tens of shots of the same subject to one group tells more about the individual posting those photos, than those photos or the subject.
Oh well... Maybe it's just me. Maybe I should have used some self-censorship, and choose not to post this whining at all. But at least I did not send this anywhere.
