I am in the early stages of planning a set of photographs that I hope will become an exhibition. It has taken me a while to find a theme that really interests me, but recently I discovered it. Due to a number of issues, but mostly the drought and coming climate change, large numbers of farmers on small landholdings are selling up and moving into the larger towns and cities. As a result, the country life I knew as I was growing up is changing.

The smaller country towns are slowly dying as the population shrinks, businesses and shops are closing, the communities are shrinking. The large farms are getting larger as they swallow up the smaller ones.

I want to document this process. In recent days I have been posting a number of test photos from a recent trip, trying to decide what aspects tell the story best.

I welcome your comments and thoughts on any or all of these issues and photos.
