I missed seeing my 60,000th visitor. Thank you to all my friends on ipernity.
One of my hereos, Irving Penn, passed away on the 7th of October. He was 92.
He was a photographic legend and a major influence on my black and white photography.

I am talking about a personal problem over at http://www.interfacepublications.com.au
The internet has been reloaded and I am back on line at home. Normal services will resume shortly.
Thank you for your patience, we apologise for any inconvenience.
There isn't much progress to report. The interweb is still not working at home. But at least, with the help of my brother-in-law, we have been able to work out approximately where the fault is and I have just sent a report off to the provider. So I hope that some progress will be made very soon.
Hi all,
The move has gone well, but we now have boxes and crates everywhere and no idea where anything is or where to put it.
The internet is not connected to our house yet, but maybe later this week. A local gallery/cafe has asked for 10 of my Venice images for an exhibition. At least the computer and printer are unpacked and working.
I'll be back soon.
On September 3rd we are moving house. My access to the internet is going to be limited for about 10 days or so.
I will drop in and see what you are all doing as often as possible.
See you all again soon.
Over at http://www.interfacepublications.com.au I am talking about a recent misunderstanding caused by the Google translation link under a post on another page...
I am talking about some old family photos over at http://www.interfacepublications.com.au
There might be a slight pause in image posting while I learn how to use CS4. Some of my processing steps don't work any more.
I'm still about. It's cold, wet and windy here so I haven't been out taking photos. I have downloaded some scanning software (Vuescan) for my flatbed scanner and I am experimenting to see if I can get some easonable scans of my large colleciton of 35mm B&W negatives taken over nearly 30 years.
I'll let you all know how I go.
Some time during the night I had my 50,000 visitor. I think it was my old friend Anthony Le Bourlier. SHINE ON!
Thanks to everyone at ipernity who has visited me and commented on my work. I am really enjoying meeting and talking with you all.
I have sold another print from the exhibition at Seddon Deadly Sins! That makes two in less than a year.
I'd better not give up my day job though.
Please make him welcome, he is from France but is currently living and working in Melbourne, Australia.
How do I know? Because I see him every day, he sits at the desk next to mine.
I am now on Twitter. I have no idea what that means or what I am doing, but you can now follow me at: twitter.com/interfacepublic
I promise I am not twittering my every thought and action, just when I update my website and when interesting stuff happens.
I am very pleased and flattered to be one of three Melbourne photographers featured in the latest issue of Altfotonet magazine, a magazine of lens-based fine art.
Read it at Altfotonet.
I'm back from Venice. We had a fantastic time in a very lovely city. I am slowly recovering from jetlag and will start putting up some images soon.
