Do you feel it's a ipernity quality problem? Some users are complaining about the new network pages, what I do not understand, because most of us were waiting for a version where a single member can not flood the network pages?
I see less acivity on my picures, but maby they are not so interesting and this is not the problem of ipernity but mine?
Roberto Ballerini - travelingpro replies:
Lots of users complained about the new network pages.
I noticed that the majority of closed accounts are from Germany.
Nothing more.
I wonder if someone else knows something more...

BUT there are many, many pictures that simply don't show up in your network pages at all, because nobody seems to understand how the notification actually works. So, if you use ipernity as a social networking site, the new network pages have failed.
If you are using ipernity mainly to showcase your own pictures, you only might have noticed a significant drop in visits and/or comments - that's because some people who have you in their contact list simply don't get notified of your new uploads, like they used to do before.
Of course, that is most obvious to the users with few contacts, probably not even noticeable to the ones with lots of contacts and very few social interactions. More explanation how the new network pages effect some of us personally can be read in my blog.
Please note that I am not a notorious complainer: I simply *love* ipernity, and I want to stay here as long as possible. AND I want my friends to stay here as well. Lots of them have disappeared in the last days, which makes me very sad - but some disappearances had personal reasons, and nothing to do with ipernity.

But there was ipernity-fox, an add-on for firefox which gave us all new uploads in chronological order. And this valuable tool stopped working at the end of last year, because there was the first change to the network pages, behind the scenes.
Yet, we could still keep up with new uploads - even though we were sometimes flooded by too many pics of a single user. Solution: we dropped users like that from our network, and everything worked just fine.

We noticed it spinning endlessly last year, and we asked Carsten about it in his blog, 4 months ago:

And then, somewhere else he answered that there was a change in ipernity and he couldn't get it back to work. Sorry, I don't have a link to the answer.
Mine is still spinning endlessly, I just tried it, right after your comment.

It was just unfortunate that one of our friends had an important message, after he was gone (for that very same reason) for quite a while - so we stopped going in his stream (because we were relying on the network notifications) and completely missed it. And that's the point when everything started to boil over.
But now Christophe has made a (much appreciated!) statement, and we will wait and see ...

I'm glad you found the problem we are discussing about, Iljuschin - and as I said, I hope the dev's will fix it soon, so we can all enjoy ipernity as we did before.

I like both of your groups (although I use the noise&dust only for squared fake ttvs) ... and I think you do a great job with your weekend walk. thanks for that.
I try not to touch mad.malon's pics, because I know that she hates people, who just look and don't leave a comment.
I drink my coffee with milk.
my f*** account is still there for the fav mosaics, but I don't use it.
I like the royal flatness in your colours and visit soepkipje's bread shop very often.
I don't think that you are not good in social interactions, because it's always fun when you're around.
I'll stay at ipernity, although I miss some people ... hoping, that some of them will be back.
:-)
