About These Contest Groups...

In the last few weeks a lot has happened around some Ipernity groups: new contests have started... Now I would like to explain about these changes...

It all starts with "Best of the Week - BOW". Most of you will already know it. It's the oldest, and as far as I know biggest contest group here on Ipernity. It's based on the simple fact of collecting everyone’s best shot of the week and then selecting the best of those. There are no themes or restrictions apart from the upload time.

To make this more interesting "Theme of the Week - TOW" was created. It will have monthly topics according to which the weekly themes will be chosen.

Finally we arrive at the "Photographic Impressions - Contests - pic". Pic varies considerably because it has more of a thematic artistic flare. It is aimed to inspire and collect some of the intuition and artistic spirit that floats around Ipernity.

Altogether these groups are about exchange and fun, about emotions and challenge. They draw a lot of pictures and generate a pool of pictures preferred by all the Ip-members.

We created a group "Three Admins Choice - TAC” that is meant to showcase the preferred choices of us administrators.

In den letzten paar Wochen hat sich einiges bei manchen Ipernitygruppen getan: Neue Wettbewerbe wurden gestartet... Jetzt möchte ich einige Worte über diese Änderungen verlieren...

Es fängt alles mit "Best of the Week - BOW" an. Die meisten von Euch werden es schon wissen. Es ist die älteste, und soweit ich weiß größte Wettbewerbsgruppe hier bei Ipernity. Es geht schlicht darum, die jeweiligen Lieblingsbilder der Woche zu sammeln, und dann die besten auszuwählen. Es gibt keine Themen oder Einschränkungen außer dem Upload-Datum.

Um das etwas interessanter zu gestalten wurden jetzt auch "Theme of the Week - TOW" gestartet. Es wird monatliche Vorgaben geben, nach denen dann die wöchentlichen Themen gewählt werden.

Zuletzt kommen wir zu "Photographische Impressionen - Contests - pic". Pic unterscheidet sich von den vorgenannten Wettbewerben. Sie hat eher ein thematisch künstlerisches Flair. Es soll inspirieren und etwas von der Intuition und dem künstlerischen Geist, der durch Ipernity weht einfangen.

In allen diesen Gruppen geht es um Austausch und Spaß, um Gefühle und Herausforderung. Sie sammeln viele Bilder und schaffen einen Schatz an Bildern, die von allen Ipernity-Mitgliedern bevorzugt werden.

Wir haben noch eine Gruppe "Three Admins Choice - TAC" gestartet, in der die von uns Administratoren bevorzugten Bilder gezeigt werden.
