I did it today. From now on I´m a PRO-member. Just do it like me and support this service. After more than one year of membership I´m still happy with my new home.

Things I like:

• nice quiet and polite community
• everything is a bit slower here
• no dominating "shareholder value" pressure...this thing is driven by real people not by a company like yahoo
• no hidden cencorship that will be introduced overnight
• fast reactions of the staff in case of needed support
• the full package of different media-types (blog, audio, video, photo)
• it´s truly international with a european touch

Things I still miss:

• a better "what´s new" page that is customizable
• some unique features like favorite groups and a group-what´s-new-page with a slideshow
• a better homepage with better access to all the media around me
• a rule-based system to open real photo-rating-groups where you have to comment on other photos to add new ones (that would be great!)

QIK ist ein neuer Streamingdienst, mit dem man Videos live von seinem Handy direkt ins Internet streamen kann. Natürlich habe ich mir das gleich angeschaut und sofort gemerkt, wo der Schwachpunkt liegt. Will man, dass alle alles mögliche direkt stampe pede ins Internet posaunen?

Es dauerte auch nicht lange und ich bekam diesen herrlich komischen Clip auf den Schirm:

Das sagt ja wohl alles. Sind es etwa nur wir Männer, die so bescheuerte Ideen haben?

So ein Dienst kann schon eine sehr nützliche Sache sein. Aber ohne ein wenig Vernetzung und sinnvolle Kategorien ist er nur ein Mülleimer voller bewegter Bilder.

Und natürlich (siehe hier: qik.com/video/238944) ein evtl. eindringen in die Privatssphäre anderer. Oder weiß die gute Frau wirklich, dass er nicht nur aufnimmt, sondern auch sendet?

Und bei diesem Clip hier fragt man sich, ob youporn schon ein veraltetes Konzept ist.

Aber so haben schon viele sehr erfolgreiche Konzepte angefangen...
