Just uploaded pictures of the piece that I am currently working on and of the one that is waiting to be finished.

Butterfly & Daisies, which I think are Coneflowers/Echinacea, was a gift from my parents last Christmas. It is a Dimesions kit that my mom picked up at Michael's and was designed by Rosemary Millette. I don't remember when I started it, but the crosstitching is getting close to being finished. There is quite a bit of half-stitching to be done and then, of course, the backstitching. I don't mind backstitching as I like seeing the finished picture get its detail. Roses is a piece that I have wanted to do for a while. (Roses are my favourite flower and I had several designs to choose from.) It is a pattern from a magazine and was included with a feature on its designer. Unfortunately, I don't have the magazine right here, so the names of the magazine and the designer will have to wait for my next update. I am stitching this pattern with Vikki Clayton's silk threads. This is the first time I have used her threads and am absolutely loving using them. The material I am stitching is on is a hand-dyed piece in yellows and oranges that I purchased at my sort-of-local LNS which is about 2 hours away from me. I forget the name of material, but will include that with my next update as well, provided I remember. You can see this piece by clicking here.

Once these two pieces are done, I will start on a wedding piece for my niece who is getting married in July 2012. If I don't get these two patterns done by the end of 2011, I will probably do the piece for my niece and finish Roses after that.
