An ipernity minus

Friday February 29, 2008 at 12:06AM

I like using GIF files and the fact that ipernity blockes them in comments is a huge minus for me!! I understand whet the big deal is!!!

Conversion issues!
Nothing that we upload is actually shown on this site! All files are 'tweaked' to suite ipernity. They do it:
1. for security reasons (imbedded stuff)
2. resizing of the "doc's"
3. ????

As soon as I can I'll post the reply we got from Ip staff to our question re the gif files here and wherever else it might be usefull.

Why do they have links to your docs when you click on all sizes if they aren't going to allow you to post them???? Remove the HTML code if we can't use it damn it!!

The links are to the 'tweaked' docs.

May I suggest to you to try converting your gif files to avi files (animation shop does this for you) and upload them. Here the avi files are then converted to swf files, which do move. I'll do that next week with our gif files.
Ip-mail me for more if need be. I'll be here again tomorrow eve (GMT).

Ger & Mat replies:
Animation shop can be part of Paint Shop Pro or a standalone application

Here a link to download various versions of Paint shop pro:
www.oldapps.com/Paint_Shop_Pro.php
Caution: product key not supplied with all of the versions.

Here a link to a download site for Animationshop:
www.softpedia.com/get/Multimedia/Graphic/Graphic-Editors/Animation-Shop.shtml

Here are some Free animation editors:
www.download.com/3120-20_4-0.html?tag=fil&qt=animation&sort=&operatingSystems=&licenseType=49&fileSize=&ca=
I don't know any of the applications, therefore don't know what their capabilities are.

All above sites are fairly safe :-)
