I have been indulging in the birthday food and I am so glad that tomorrow will be the last day of it. I must get back into a regular eating routine. My waistline demands it.
Other than that, this weekend went pretty well. The audition went well. I should be getting some local singing gigs out of it. They won't pay enourmous amounts of money, but something is better than nothing. Like I was telling my mom today, I would rather be less wealthy and happy than rich and unhappy.
I'm also trying to save money for a motor scooter for next spring. I've wanted a scooter for a long time. One, it will help save on gas and two, I would look darn cute on one. ; ) Seriously, though, those things get something like over 60 miles to the gallon. Does "hell" go with "yeah"?
So, in my quest for scooter ownership, I will (most likely) be working this show that's coming to town this week. Craig's List had an ad for peole to sell programs and cds before, during intermission, and after the show. I will have to work all eight shows, but by the end of the week, I should have about $400. That's a serious scooter down payment. So, we'll see...
