Rubjerg Knude Fyr is a place in Denmark where the powers of nature manifest themselves as a monumental document of untouchedness from the mingy endeavours of mankind. Efforts in science, size, technology or time have been met by nature in a way that is unbeatable in nonchalance, style and magnitude.
A giant sand dune generated by sand drift out of nowhere wiped away the service buildings of the lighthouse at Rubjerg Knude in Denmark totally unimpressed by the attempts of people to stop or deviate the development. Nature came to the resolution to not like the idea of a lighthouse at that spot and simply swept away its feeble structures.
Construction of the lighthouse was finalised in 1900, it ceased service as a lighthouse in 1968 forced by nature as the light was not seen from sea anymore. It continued to serve as a museum until 2002 where it finally had to be handed back to nature completely. While the lighthouse itself was never totally covered by sand the remainders of the site now recover as the giant sand dune moves on.
