Problem URLs with Firefox and adblock
Today I found out for sure why some of my pictures weren't displayed on all computers: If you use adblock, and are blocking the combination */ad/*, you will definitely sooner or later come across some white pictures, because ipernity uses this combination in some urls.
My problem urls are (so far):
True Blue
u1.ipernity.com/u/1/AD/7E/229037.b5f6790f1.l.jpg
Mingus Mill
u1.ipernity.com/u/1/AD/F8/194733.597f4e591.l.jpg
Twilight
u1.ipernity.com/u/1/AD/7C/228525.9c1d79681.l.jpg
Every one of them has the combination /AD/, and all of them can be see just fine when you check the url directly. You can find the pictures under this tag, if you want to test your settings: If your machine is blocking them, they all will be white.
Now, I don't want to whitelist all of ipernity, and I also don't want to give up blocking ads with the */ad/* wildcard. I never thought a webmaster would use this combination for anything else BUT ads, though :-(
So I will probably have to re-upload the effected pictures, if I want to make sure that everyone can see them ...
Other than that: I still like ipernity! ;-)

Heute habe ich mit Sicherheit rausgefunden, warum einige meiner Bilder nicht auf allen Computern angezeigt wurden. Wenn ihr Adblock benutzt, und die Kombination */ad/* blockt, werdet ihr mit Sicherheit frueher oder spaeter auf einige weisse Bilder stossen, weil ipernity diese Kombination in einigen Urls benutzt.

Jede einzelne davon hat die Kombination /AD/, und alle koennen einwandfrei gesehen werden, wenn man die Urls direkt eingibt. Ihr koennt die Bilder unter diesem Stichwort finden, falls ihr eure Einstellungen ueberpruefen wollt: Wenn euer Rechner diese Adblock-Einstellung hat, sind alle weiss.
Jetzt will ich natuerlich nicht ganz Ipernity auf die Whitelist setzen, und ich will auch weiterhin einen Grossteil von Werbung mit */ad/* blocken. Ich habe nie gedacht, dass ein Webmaster diese Kombination fuer irgendwas anderes als Werbung verwenden wuerde :-(
Wahrscheinlich werde ich die betroffenen Bilder neu hochladen, und hoffen, dass nicht noch mehr meiner Fotos diese Kombination zugeteilt bekommen ...
Abgesehen davon gefaellt's mir hier immer noch sehr gut! ;-)

Damit ich nicht auch ipernity komplett "genehmige", hab ich jetzt eine Ausnahmeregel hinzugefügt. @@u1.ipernity.com/u/*/AD/*.jpg
Mal schauen, ob die noch zu viel durchlässt.

Blöd ist natürlich, dass unbedarfte Besucher 'unserer Seiten' das nicht unbedingt wissen und ich möchte nicht unter jedes betroffene Bilkd eine Erklärung schreiben. Wäre schon gut, wenn das Iperianische Headquarter da eine Änderung durchführen könnte ...

Vielleicht hilft es, wenn deswegen auch andere mal an Christophe mailen? Ich glaube, ich werde meine Problemfotos lieber austauschen - allerdings weiss ich ja jetzt (ausser den 3 bekannten) nicht mehr, welche nicht angezeigt werden :-(

Edit: This won't work, either - not even when I edit the source. Something must have changed here, and the editor takes the href out. But you can see the problem urls under the individual pictures. I have posted them there.
Edit 2: Should work now - not the way I wanted it, but at least now it's clearer what I wanted to show you.
