The curious case of the 2nd most viewed photo

Thursday June 5, 2008 at 03:49AM

This is my second-most viewed photo on ipernity. It has been viewed more than 1100 times! Obviously it has been blogged, but I can't find out where.

Is there an easy way to discover where it is blogged?

I'm now getting into my own blog. It has been said that I don't supply enough information about my pics, so I am now addressing that issue by going back to the start of my stream and writing blogs.

So far I've finished blogs for the first album I uploaded to ipernity, One Day In Izumo , so if you now view most photos in the album they have links to blog entries.

Just like to say thanks to those of you that do take the time to delve "upstream" to view my earlier photos.

I hope too, that we get once upon a time a statistic access to get information about the referrer...

Yep there are several blog search engines - but none of them are perfect and you might still not get a result if the blog isn't registered in the blogosphere. The search engines I know of are technorati, ice rocket, bloglines, google and yahoo blog search. The latter two will even pull up discussion threads in Flickr.

Thanks for the info on the blog/albums I'll have a read sometime soon.

I have similar suspect about this photo of my stream:

Fortikaĵo de Ucero

It is the document which visits grow quickest!

I've tried inverse searchings in google, but no success.

Your photo had been displayed on ipernity frontpage, that's maybe the reason why it's your most viewed photo :)

hello Lea :D (congrats!! :)) bah, but i still doesn't see the reason WHY ... i mean i took more better pics than this one ;)) and it makes me feel really bad that this one is the most viewed ;))

I have the same problem.
Such a stupid photo as
Ist das Kunst ?
is my top viewed with 1278 visits.
I think there is a possibility to find out where the visitors come from if you integrate a picture which is generated by an PHP code. The PHP server can than read the HTTP_REFERER information. But I dont have the time to do it myself nor to find a ready solution.

I have not tried it but supposedly tineye.com/login does what you want. Hope it helps.

Thanks for that David. I'm trying it.... so far no luck, but its is early days for the program, and it could grow into a very useful tool.... it can detect photos that have been cropped and altered too....

I quite like the "stats" feature over at Flickr for this reason... It would be nice to have that here.
