Yes I think it's better to buy several 2GB Cards, than one bigger card. That way if one card should break, you don't loose all your fotos. How much you need depends on whether you shoot raw or jpg. I always shoot raw, and so I need a lot more space. But don't worry too much. SD-Cards aren't expensive any more. and should you run out of space I'm sure you'll find a place to buy SD-Cards in Barcelona... Perhaps not on Sunday though...

What do you use for night shot, usually?

Except tripod...

This for example is aclassical nightshot using a tripod, nothing else.
But most of the time I use nothing extra, just my camera (no filtres, no tripod, no flash).


So this was taken, just holding as still as possible, since there was just enough light left...


This on the other hand isn't a nightshot at all. what you see is the sun. I just edited it to look like a nightshot...

Didn't you feel your camera's focus point was moving while you meant to take a shot in the dark?
Or...I guess you are good at setting the shutter speed to the distance between the object.

Actually I meant to buy Canon, same quality camera,but...a persuasive sales lady told me
"In tems of lense, Nikon is the best, I swear!!
Besides, Canon is superior to that of compact cameras!"

So ...I took her advice.

Not sure if it is right. ;-)) but..I am satisfied with D60.

haha she lies... because canon got the better lense... because they have a better ultrasonic motor for the autozoom and the lense are better quality...

i started out with a nikon d70 but i used a canon ae-1 for most of my pre-digital life.


i use a canon 5d now, i have three lenses ef 17-40 L f4 / ef 24-70 L f2.8 / ef 135mm F2 L. i prefer it to nikon but it is hard to complain. i still have the d70 but i dont use it. it seems to lock up on me quite often and i cant get the shot i want. i love the canon EF L lenses. but they are costly.

as a photographer i think you just need to work within the boundaries of whatever camera you have and push them to their limits.

Todays DSLRs are all good enough to take excellent pictures. It's always a good decision to look for good lenses too. And every manufacturer has some very good ones in is lineup...
So I wouldn't worry about which camera might be a wee bit better in some aspect. Just go out, enjoy your camera and enjoy taking pictures...
