Football is the most popular sports in Japan.
Unfortunetely Japan National team don't go out of Asia.
Moreover the play style of Japanese team
-- a path work --
there is no adventure in a penalty area.
I enjoy the local game,we have a local football team, but
I can't enjoy thier style in terms of the international game.
Most interesting game is European's.
Usually I enjoy the games and support Chelsea(Premier),
and Schalke(Bundes).
The reason why I support them in spite of no Japanese player
is these teams have my favorites. ![]()
May,this month, the finals of Premier League and
CL are coming over and EURO2008 will start in June.
There is a few my favorites kick the ball in EURO2008.
The international game always gives me so much fun and
new discovery that I enjoy the game itself regardless of the player or nationality.
When the season starts, nottiestyle's week gets busier.
Until 17:30 I get rid of my job, prepare dinner and eat,
sometimes meet my friends, but I try to get back to my room before 21:00.
Go to sleep 21:00 to 2:00 am.
The game starts around 3:00 am.(Time zone is different)
At 2:00 the alarm gets me up, I take a shower and prepare chiled ice tea.
Completely forget time during the first half, second half.
After the game I take a nap for 1 or 1.5 hours and ready to go to work.
I loose my weight down to 5 pounds(2.5- 3 kg) after foot ball season.
Although this is my own discretion and prejudice,
People without MUSIC, PHOTO and Watching FOOTBALL game
spoil for the half of his or her life time.

hahaha...you've never met a Japanese football fan?
Since 2002 World Cup (Japan and Korea) brought us a big storm.
Really!
I had a big surprise and impression just like the one that I saw Pacific Ocean at the first time when I was a kid.
I was really impressed by each game and those made me a decition to go over the way to Germany for watching World Cup 2006 at that time!
...Actually it didn't come true.(Always I missed a chance to go to Germany, pffff)
Antiques, old castle, mysterious language and football game.
You are surrounded by the treasure which makes me happy,Lars.

Wayne Rooney, John Terry amd Joe Cole.
... so so like Steven Gerrard and Lampard.
They are very active in the league match but I wonder how come they are awkward in the international game...?????
Angela replies:
And I like English team as well (especially Peter Crouch), but of course I'm glad for our Russian team :-) It was a big achievement for us.

Chrispro says:
are able to compensate their weaknesses, they don't seem to be THAT bad.
nottiestylepro replies:
Or..maybe it means foreign players keep the quality of Premier League?
...humm..I see
That might be a reason they (English players) are NOT so active in the international game :-)

Chrispro says:
The really successful teams play with very few English players.
nottiestylepro replies:
Or you don't have something special?
Which league do people in your place watch most?
Michellepro says:
I'm not a football fan, but sometimes I still like watching a bit because the Chinese National Team sucks....In order to get an idea about why so many people loving this game, I have to watch European teams or South Amercian teams playing.....
nottiestylepro replies:
Most of sports give us a lot of impression and passion.
I feel it with football most :-)
eg. About baseball, the player could play untill he is 40 - 45.
But football in most of the case, the playeres leave the pith when they become 30 - 34.
So it is just short period time they can play.
Furthermore the player's life style turns black and white easily when they get a serious injury or
not in active for one season.
Football is the most beautiful and the cruellest sports in the world.
The game itself reminds me of chess or classical land war..

nottiestylepro replies:
I envy you again,Lars.
'77-'80 I didn't know about football well, let alone Bundesliga.
And you said..."was" for FC Köln.
MSV Duisburg is No.1 for you,right now...right?
Lars Sözüerpro replies:
After that season they advanced to the first league, but Kaiserslautern stayed in the second.
So it is good for us that they did not play so well and descended again - we could watch again MSV Duisburg vs. 1. FC Kaiserslautern. I hope this time it will be in Kaiserslautern.
nottiestylepro replies:
Ballack and Klose used to be there? not sure ;-)
So you support Kaiserslautern this season?
Because they almost advanced to the 1st league?
Here in Japan, we can see only the 1st Bundesliga, especially TV shows us the gams **** vs Eintracht Frankfurt which has Japanese player and...they are used to be in the 2nd,I remember.
Lars Sözüerpro replies:
And you are right, Ballack once played for Kaiserlautern. I didn't know that.
And Klose played for them, too. I'm much impressed by your knowledge!
Kaiserslautern was the only team ever which became champion right after advancement to the 1st Bundesliga.
nottiestylepro replies:
So...Pascal vs Lars.
I wanna see ..Which team or who will WIN *hehe* ;-)
Ballack is one of my favorites. He and Shevchenko(Андрій Миколайович Шевченко) who is from Ukraine, used to be A.C. Milan brought me to European football.
Klose is...I am not fan of him but...very very impressed by his cross after he makes a goal....
Because we...are all "indefferent to religion" people.
Lars Sözüerpro replies:
Kaiserlautern in Duisburg in December 2008
Duisburg in Kaiserslautern in May 2009
Still a long time...
nottiestylepro replies:
btw...How much is the gap between 1nd league and 2nd one?
In Japnan, it is a big difference.
Lars Sözüerpro replies:
And I'd be surprised if it was really not the same situation in Japan, unless you have a totally different system of promotion and relegation.

nottiestylepro replies:
Yes, in Japan baseball is the most popular sports...after Golf and Sumo.
But the ranking is changing among younger generation.
The reason is in your comment.
Sumo is a kind of special sport and in terms of baseball and golf, we have to prepare many equipments, and if one team are set in the defence mode, they have to waite until the next attack mode. But you only prepare a ball ,a pair if bottles and the field in football.
And you can change the mode if you get a chance.
the funniest matches? Seems to be interesting!! If you remember, tell me ;-)
Michellepro says:
In China, they most popular public sports are badminton & ping pong.
Purple T says:
Our players earn a huge amount of money from their clubs, and they play bloody well for their clubs, hence the reason why we had 3 teams in the European Champions league semi-final (yes, there were a reasonable amount of English players in the final). The trouble is this: If you're a earning £3Milliion a year when you're 23; where does your loyalty lie???
The premiere league pays more than any other league in the world, and contracts mean nothing any more, so who gives a t**s about their country? Steven Gerrard, John Terry, Joe Cole, and David Beckham (yes, i know he's probably passed it, but at least he's bloody well committed to the cause!!!) are about the only ones who give a damn!
Paahh!!!
England get what we deserve. And well done to Spain! They played bloody good football, and on the day, they deserved to win. They played really well, so i hope they make the most of it :-)))))
nottiestylepro replies:
"Our players earn a huge amount of money from their clubs, and they play bloody well for their clubs,"
But it is the same as Spain team, I think.
The big reason why English team failed this time, (Actually I am sorry for this), Premier league clubs rely on foreigh playeres.
