Such a beautiful morning! Sunshine, blue skies, puffy white clouds & NO WIND. Amazing, since it has been blowing day after day, seemingly without end. Not a bad thing in and of itself, unless you like to take pictures of bees and bugs & it pretty much takes the fun out of that. So off I went, thinking life's not so bad after all, only to have my batteries die after half an hour or so. I have an extra set, but they're old and don't hold a charge very well, and sure enough, they hadn't held a charge at all. But....."hey, no big deal", I thought, "I can go out again this afternoon, if the wind doesn't come up.............". :(  The wind must have been listening, as it's back to blowing non-stop.

I've seen several references to Ipernity on flickr over the last few days, so I thought I'd try it out. It has the feel of flickr before Yahoo bought it; a small (relatively speaking) community and more interaction among users. Nice not to have censorship, although my most risque photo is of ladybugs mating :)

So far, I like the 'recent visitors' feature, as well as having contacts' photos on the home page. Will know more after I've used it for awhile.
