changessssss!

Wednesday October 24, 2007 at 11:23PM

So, when a period of your life comes to an end, you feel this sense of loss, but at the same time there are all these open doors in front of you. how to make a decision? which is the right door?

how many people are in ths situation right now... you look at your life, and it seems to be unique. Nobody experiences the same things you do, nobody goes through the same problems. yet, everywhere the problems, the people, the reactions, are, eventually the same. And when you realize it, the urge to make a move somehow decreases.

I believe ones life is all the time unique, but one must allow oneself to get off of old tracks and discover new paths. Only then can one grow as humans, life should be a learning process.... As go for making choices, I tend to trust my instincts rather than a fixed map. Discoveries are so much more interesting when you do not know what's behind the door :)

thrilling, isn't it? when you have these rare moments when you can do sooo much, you just have to make your move.

i also follow my instinct a lot - it make sit somehow difficult to share your life with very rational people...

Now for a complete different perspective:

Any door in front of you is the correct answer, as you are moving forward, not knowing what to find behind the door of your choice.

Otherwise you'd be standing still, no progress at all, and worse case scenario: you'd be moving backwards.

So, go on, make that move, open up a door and welcome whatever is behind the door...

that's a good point.
the hard part is leaving people behind, saying goodbye.
and then there is the thrilling of the new people coming.

Be grateful that you got to know them, and keep trust in the fact that, since you met great people, you will meet great people again!

It's easier said than done, I'm aware of that, but it's a given fact :-D

Yes it is always very hard to say goodbyes: I know. I am half the way across the world from my birth place with a stop halfway through. Many friends left behind but new ones made. However, those left behind have left their marks on our lives they are part of us and therefore are ever-present. The new ones we will make will do the same but we can never know how. It may be scary, intimidating but it certainly could be an adventure. Go forward without regrets because in reality nothing is left behind all is taken invisibly inside.

and we'll always carry our past with us. it's what we are. I'm probably going to move from berlin. it's scary, and I don't really want to. but to move on it is necessary to renounce on other things....

sometimes life should be easier, hu? :)

If life did not have those challenges I think it would get boring very quickly. I wish you all the best in whatever decision you make.

I totally agree with Stewart. If you know it's time to go. Move on. Never say Goodbye, if they are good people, they will always be with you. Hoping you make the right decision for you.
