The best part of the trip was before I even reached the shops,more boats are being loaded into the sea for the season. The inshore rescue people from Ulverston were on hand when the boats are lowered because these vessels have to be manned by two people on the descent to release the hoists when the craft reaches water so rescue services are essential,you don't mess with the sea. There were a few boats already in the water waiting to make up a mini convoy,when they are ready the bridge will be raised and off they will go to their summer moorings.I wandered over to town this morning just to get some pipe fodder because no other shopping was needed today,this changed when remembered a loaf wouldn't go amiss. With this in mind I popped into Heron foods and picked one up. Now Heron food in not your average supermarket but a place you can find stuff you didn't know you wanted until you see it. I came out 2 carrier bags heavier and £12 lighter in the pocket department. That made my mind up to flash the pass home instead of walking both ways which was my intention.
