An artists' society in Cornwall (;-)) (Only two members so far...)
The Rules :
The Cheap Lino club
1) From unpretentious beginnings art may arrive, or not...
2) It doesn’t matter
3) 85% pure lino
15% mixed media, or not...
4) Size :
Approx no more than
6 5/8” x 4 3/8”
If mounted then maximun size of mount is
8 11/16” x 11 13/16” (approx)
5) Entry fee of 68 p guarantees a prize which is to be held by an independent arbiter (Dot) in a very interesting tin. The arbiter to choose the winners and select the prizes. The arbiter shall not neccessarily find it useful to use a ruler whilst measuring approximate sizes unless she feels it to be an absolute requirement.
6) The cheap lino club is designed to help the artists to break out of apathetic inertia and resurrect the long-lost craft of lino printmaking. Whilst also providing hours of cheap entertainment, harmless fun and challenging exhortations in order to promote creativity.
7) The winner is to wear a T-shirt bearing the club rules even if only written in biro.
8) Anything goes !!! (Within 6 5/8” x 4 3/8”)
