"Does it have winter melon?" asked an old woman leaning over my meal tray, "it looks pretty delish." I was still wondering how a simple lunch at a fast food restaurant could cost as much as almost $50. I would have gone to somewhere else should it not be near the library. Obviously, my thought was interrupted by her question but that was good. "Yes it does. You'll have a full circle slice here." She gave one more stare at my plate before returning to her table, looked content as if she would like to try this tomorrow. A sparrow was hopping on the floor, picking up flakes here and there. Shouldn't it wheel up in the sky in searh of insects or stay on a branch outside or anywhere but this shopping mall? You have to admit that wild birds, alongside with mankind, are adapting their lives in modern times.
