are there any groups out there...

as so many in the last days I just came over from flickr. Well, to be honest, this already looks very much like a flickr clone, but they forgot so clone one of the most important parts of flickr - the groups...

or is it just that I didn't find them?

using FlickrExport for Aperture for uploading to ipernity.com

Hi everybody,

it looks like the API used by ipernity.com is compatible to that one used by flickr. So - at least theoretically - all software written for the flickr API should work with ipernity as well...

I bought the FlickrExporter for Apple Aperture, which I used quiet often, it's a great tool - but unfortunately it's made for flickr.

According to the developer, it can be switched to be used with any other flickr-compatible site, such as ipernity.com. But changing the address of the API isn't enough.

Does anybody have any experiance with this?

Best,

Michael

What they called "interestingness" at the "other" site...

Now, having settled here at ipernity for a while, it feels more and more like the new home after having left flickr. But there are still a view things I am missing...

  • Interestingness: at flickr there was this interestingness thing which showed me a top list of my pictures, which had the most visitors, which had the most comments, which one the most faves and last not least, the interestingness itself - I didn't get the formular behind this up to now, but I am missing those lists... or don't I just find them?!?
  • Upload Tools: I really love developing my RAW files with Apple Aperture. For flickr there was a really cool export plug-in, which would be great to work with ipernity as well, as the API is compatible. I started another thread about this question. We will see...

Michael

new design of website now online...

well, it took a while, but now I've finished the works on my website www.mfr-photodesign.de. After having used the old PHP-based site for nearly two years without any changes in the recent months, I now switched to a completely new designed site generated with RapidWeaver on my Mac. The switch to the new system allows me to edit the site more quickly, which means it gets updated more often, als updates can be done within minutes...
