Thursday March 20, 2008 at 03:27AM

From march 19 2008 team ipernity post

As for now, people having a Yahoo!ID or OpenID, Facebook members and Orange subscribers can use their login information to connect ipernity. ipernity members, go to your Preferences / Connexion page for further details. Not yet registered? That way!

...just say what you think...

i say "why not". i was shocked too at first but...
not all the world is pissed about the flickr censorship (which has been changed by now) and it's probably a good way to get more users from there to here cause it's easiert.
a lot of people use both services.
and yahoo is not only flickr.
and yahoo is only ONE of the new login methods.
i think, use it or not, some will have advantages cause of easier logins now.

Well, I am pissed, not about the censorship but about the attitude of flickr staff towards their (paying) customers.
But as ipernity needs members to survive, I absolutely agree with you: Everything making access easier is appreciated!

i say why yahoo and not gmail for example.
Flickr don't suck just for the censorship, later they do more bad thing with the costumers.
i don't care much other people do...if they use flickr or just ipernity i don't care.
I believe most big corporate sucks...i like local and new small places, that's why recently i invite you for example to iminta.
i dont use any of the all yahoo other services, eather the mail, is about an attitud...like major record labels with the RIM music, or cable tv...
ther are hundreds other ways to log in...why with yahoo?
for me it's NOT a good news...
internet is a dynamic wave...
do we really need to log in with an easy way???
i run two business and every day someone offer me something to be with they...and always is about money or be indie...how can grow more and be free...
the main ask is...does really we need that?...

i understand your point my friend. just wanted to explain how it looks from a neutral point of view.
i am still pissed about flickrs behaviour back then, but technically its great and the people we left behind are great there. anyway. you must not use it. and this heres not a cooperation with yahoo its just using an openid method which yahoo offers as well as a provider,
i think google doesnt have it. (??) and gthere are at least as many people hating google as much as yahoo. so what could ipernity have done. no need to fight here i think! :) just telling what i think.

I will not use it, but I totally subscribe your point of view... (hoping it will not open security breaches on Ipernity...)
