Today I read an article in the newspaper about the economy in Iceland. They were doing so well in the recent years but for the past year the value of their currency against the Euro has been cut in half. Nobody wants to keep money these days. One Icelander described it this way: "Currently money in Iceland is like a hot potato". The article concludes with a press release of the Icelandic tourist board that promotes Iceland now as a great destination for family vacation and even for Christmas shopping.
Optimism is obviously an Icelandic virtue.
Let's support their optimism by sending them our best wishes!

This financial set back is all over the world these days but we got slammed by these "rich guys" and all the Icelandic nation is paying for their risks and stupidity...
I just hope this is not going to affect our kids and grandkids life but that is probably going to be the case.. They are going to pay for this... :o(
Thanks for your good wishes Arnold they are really appreciated :o)

The best thing we can do for our children is to love them and to give them a good education. This will enable them to cope with all problems they will face in their life...

It's just one word that I have about who have to control here and that is just a Mafia.
People who have worked hard their life long and save their money, they loose 30% nobody is excepting that.
My opinion is that we live in a Mafia country, and if I have a job and base in another country, I am willing to jump as fast as I can.
My mother 77 years old is loosing lot of her money, money that she worked hard for all her life, it's robbery.
