thanks! Before I pushed the button, I deleted all of my 2000 photographs there to make sure they won't play a guest role in yawho image databanks.

Das Problem ist, dass auch geloeschte Fotos nicht automatisch weg sind ...
Ich haenge eigentlich nur noch aus diesem Grund da drueben rum.

aus diesem Grund habe ich gestern ZUERST meine 2000 Fotos komplett gelöscht und erst DANACH meinen Account :)

Wie gesagt, auch ich habe meine Fotos geloescht, und trotzdem sind sie nicht weg (jedenfalls nicht alle). Und Madame Heather hat mir irgendwo im Forum untergeschoben, sowas waere halt normal ...

also, ich habe jetzt mal auf flickr eine Suche nach Bildern unter lunaryuna gestartet und finde "nur" 360 Bilder anderer Nutzer, die entweder Abwandlungen meiner Bilder sind (Kollaborationen), oder Widmungen oder aber meine Protestbilder vervielfältigt. Ansonsten scheint alles tutti paletti zu sein ;)

Na ja, SO findest du sie ja auch nicht. Ich habe meine in Scout gefunden, und oft auch in alten Kommentaren, wo sie noch zu sehen waren, obwohl sie ja eigentlich geloescht waren.

Und dann schau dir mal meine Tags Liste an: Da sind die groessten Tags die mit Auto und Autoshow und Rod Run usw. - und alle diese Fotos sind lange geloescht. Da ich aber leider die individuellen URLs nicht mehr habe (ich wusste ja vorher nicht, dass es damit ein Problem geben wuerde!), kann ich nicht beweisen, dass 49 von 50 dieser Fotos auch zu so einem "botched delete" gehoeren, und eigentlich noch da sind ...

hmmmm, na da bin ich ja gespannt, was da noch für Kadaver angeschwemmt werden ;)

Over here at IPERNITY we all seem to avoid typing the name FLICKR. I think we should always refer to it and type the name fully. This would be tracked on a Google search and lead new people here that may have otherwise ended up buying an account there instead of here.

Well Flickr took my money then deleted my whole account, would not answer emails, would not speak with me at all.
Then I found Ipernity, SENSATIONAL. So when I have a lot of free time I will get myself a pro account and upload lots of nice images.

Yeah, it took me very long to end that relationship, but I had a paid account until december 9th, but yesterday when I saw that again they had changed something with their login procedure, I spontaneously decided to end it that very moment.

Congrats! My pro account ends next week. I'm still not shure if I should delete my whole account or keep a free account.

I decided NOT to keep a free account, since I am protesting against their whole censorship approach and that means that I won't use any of their "services" anymore, be them paid or free.

You know I should do that too, even though I do not have a pro flickr account. It's just hard to leave some of the friends I got there. But I am very glad with Ipernity, and will spread the word - =D

Yes, I left many friends and contacts there as well, but life goes on, I can't focus on two things at the same time without reducing due attention to both or at least one of those communities and besides this I think the protest against yahoo only works if people are consequent in leaving completely.
