Wedding Invitation: Miss Veronica Voight and Mr. Maxwell Miller

Sunday June 7, 2009 at 03:21PM

Mr. Malcolm Miller and his wife Mirabella as well as Mr. Volkmaar Voight and his wife Vranziska would like to annouce the wedding of their (grown up!) children Veronica and Maxwell.

The happy occasion is going to take place on August 3, 1906 at 13:30 in front of the Central Cemetery. The official ceremony will be followed by rice, cake and coffee/tea, or, optionally, potatoes, ice-cream and beer/wine.

You are most cordially invited to share our joy, take as many photographs as your camera can handle, sing, dance, and hopefully be modest with your food consumption, so there will be enough left for everybody else.

At 17:30 the happy couple will depart on their honeymoon to Java via Hove and Baden-Baden and by that time we kindly expect all the wedding guests to be on their merry way home.

We hope to see all of you and in a delightful mood.

Please R.I.P. sorry: R.S.V.P.

Saturday? Is the wedding on a Saturday?? Let me check...nope, August 3 is a Friday. Remember the wedding is in 1906 and not in 2009, which wouldn't be a Saturday either but a Monday. So that's really good news, you'll be able to make it to the wedding reception! And don't worry, it's not your wedding, but Maxwell and Veronica's. I mean...you don't have to get married to Maxwell!! :-P

Ach! Du bist also am 03.08.1906 geboren?? ;-))) Na gut, dann kann ich verstehen, dass du nicht an den hochzeitsfestlichkeiten von Maxwell und Veronica teilnehmen kannst. Man kann schliesslich nicht auf einem geburtstag und einer hochzeit gleichzeitig tanzen! Das ist allerdings sehr schade, die beiden werden enttäuscht sein.

nein, ich war eben noch nicht geboren in besagtem jahr ... weswegen ich nicht teilnehmen konnte. nicht mal meine eltern waren da geboren, und frag mich nicht, wo meine großeltern da grad waren. ich kannte sie nicht mal (bis auf einen großvater). :-))

Ach so. Verstehe. Na, wenn du da grade nicht geboren wirst, dann hast du ja den tag noch zur freien verfügung und kannst daher also erscheinen. Ob du bereits zu diesem zeitpunkt auf der welt warst, ist doch nebensächlich, wir wollen doch hier nicht plötzlich anfangen, derart triviale dinge zu diskutieren. Prima, dann geb ich das mal so an Maxwell und Veronica weiter, die werden sich riesig freuen!

"In entzückender laune" :-)) So was hast du sicher im kleiderschrank, irgendwas blumig-sommerlich-farbenfroh-fröhlich-erfrischendes. Ich glaube, ich hab dich auf einigen fotos mal in so einem hübschen blumenkleid mit hut gesehen...falls du das noch hast, das wär's doch!

P.S. Ich hab dich vorsichtshalber schon mal auf die gästeliste gesetzt, falls es also mit deiner teilnamhe klappen sollte. Ich bin optimistisch! :-)

Wie ich den Carlos kenne, versteht der sich mit fast jedem, bestimmt auch mit ALPHRAED - das ist sicher ein vornehmer, höflicher gentleman, nicht wahr? Apropos schwätzchen, wollten wir nicht mal ein mini-Ippy-treffen diesen sommer in Karlsruhe organisieren?

Ja, ich bin im lande bis September oder Oktober. Das 2. augustwochenende klingt schon mal gut, das ist noch nicht verplant. Ich werde mal limone fragen, vielleicht möchte sie auch kommen, soooo weit weg wohnt sie schliesslich nicht und sie war ja schon mal hier zu einem mini-treffen im herbst 2007. Wer ist denn sonst noch in der nähe? Blue Breeze, glaube ich?

Na, dann laden wir ihn doch ganz einfach ein :-) Ich würde sagen, ich verschicke die mails mal mit dem vorläufigen datum 2. augustwochenende, dann wird man ja sehen, ob das für die beiden anderen auch passend ist.

Ach komm! Man muss auch ein bisschen flexibel sein können, die welt ist schliesslich auch nicht immer genau so, wie wir sie gerade wollen, und man muss trotzdem damit leben und das beste draus machen!! :-)) Nimm doch nicht alles so ernst - es gibt weitaus schlimmere dinge im leben, mit denen man sich arrangieren muss, stimmt's oder hab ich recht?? ;-)

Auf jeden fall. Aber etwas anziehen werde ich mir schon. Und passen wird's auch, der hosenbund hat eine kordel, also je nach verzehrter kuchenmenge verstellbar :-))

Ach, das ist aber nun wirklich echt schade, grossneffenonkelchen. Woran hapert's denn mit dem frack? Bei dieser gelegenheit hätten wir und nun endlich mal wieder zum ersten mal treffen können und auch das hochzeitsjubelpaar wird ob deines fernbleibens schwer enttäuscht sein.
