Finding my way around gradually. There's something quite appealling about Ipernity's French origins, I have family connections and host a Béarn Group on Flickr - www.flickr.com/groups/bearn

Though the fact the pro subscription is in euros and not US dollars is a bit of a blow

One thing that really, really bugs me is the way my photos are described here as docs or items, but when I log into my ipernity homepage as a visitor they are described (correctly) as photos. It is a shame the different docs are not distinguished from one another, as I'd hoped. I almost prefer the Flickr term things.

Yeah, quite oddly for a Brit I find the French origins appealing as well. Unlike a lot of Brits (or at least, many of my acquaintances) I've always had a bit of a soft spot for the French :)

Curiously, one of the things that really bugged me about the Flickr implementation of vid clips was their suddenly describing everything as "things" ("things" simply sounds so impersonal)... I much prefer Ip's "docs". But then, there's no accounting for taste I guess.

And euros vs US dollars? Much better imo :)
