Josie returned to Noho absolute in the knowledge that she was her own greatest resource. She had herself and that was her greatest commodity. She'd reached a place of affirmation. This ocurred in 2004.

Josie Soho and Henri Banks met on the internet in March of 2005. They found they were living lives with

parallel beliefs and ideas. Remarkably, they thought so much alike about so many things. They had similar experiences which filled the gaps in many places for each other. Henri had come to the recognition earlier that he knew he was his best own resource too. The two united on Henri's collaborative photoblog Web-Pix after Henri found Josie's blog Straw Houses. They've been twin friends ever since.

The two have never met in any other format.

I awoke this morning from a strange, epic dream. I was surrounded by men in a Victorian house- one of whom seemed to be the previous tenant of my studio. He was allowing me to keep items he'd left behind. In return I gave him (not willingly) my camera in it's case. It was like ripping my own heart out to give it away.

I had to wake up.

From what  I  understand Edith Piaf didn't like Americans till she realized they liked her. Isn't that how it seems to go? What if all the global citizens of the world could stand together and count the positives and not the negatives? Our similarities. If we could let our differences go and meet on common ground. That's what the internet is to me. A place to level the playing field. Meeting people on a one to one basis. Getting real about how we're alike, not how we're different.

It's risky to say that. I know. 

It's a love affair that never was intended to happen . It just grew and grew from the most informal of social contact. Organically- the way I've heard love is supposed to grow.

Hi World- it's me over here. Just a simple girl.  I'm pretty uncomplicated though life has given me considerable tests so far. Just a girl makin pics and tellin her story all around the web. I'm interested in knowing who you are. Stay for a while.

I should be downtown trying to sell my prints and cards but I don't feel like it. It's going to be super hot and humid today.

Last week I got this beautiful shot of a tender moment between a mom and her babe.  Forgive me but I'm still amazed I saw it, let alone caught it.  Being on the street provides myriad opportunities to shoot.

My community is very artistic, so it's a great opportunity to meet fellow artists and share perspectives as well.

If I get my act in gear I will go the Cummington Fair this afternoon or evening . One of the country's oldest agricultural fairs. It was a hub of my universe when I was a teen. We'll see how compelling it is later on.
