Day 2 •Ready For Anything
Open Studio was a success. It was the perfect pre- launch for Josie Soho®. I displayed my brand's signature jewelry. Explaining to people that it is a new line waiting to launch in boutique sales. Feedback was all positive. I also ran a slideshow of my photography which created much interest. I gave away a whole box of moo cards with my three ipernity addresses. I also emphasized my blogging and discussed with some fellow artists how beneficial it is to people working in the creative industry to have other people to communicate with during what is often a lonely pursuit. Additionally we talked about how a blog is essential to any business these days- and with artists in particular.
Twice I heard people in my hallway saying - "I'm looking for Josie Soho". What a great feeling that was! In both cases they were looking for my greeting cards. One was an individual sale for someone's dear friend. The other was a local shopkeeper who wants to carry my line. Woo! Very exciting!
Berlin became the theme of my show and was a great conversation starter. I am reminded that this American woman needs to thank all her iper friends who so graciously spoke English for her the full two days we were together. THANK YOU.
I also mentioned an underlying theme of my blogs was my virtual pregnancy in outerspace with Midwesternstock who's picked me up in his rocketship. People liked the idea. They had no problem with my three persona or the pregnancy.
See you around the universe!
