I'm sure that you all have heard that our Queen Elizabeth has just died. I remember when she was crowned and the whole country celebrated. I was 5 and had great fun celebrating her coronation - but was too young to know why!!!! My mum made me this outfit - it was red, white and blue (of course) and it was a sort of very thin muslin. Hiya folks, yes my dear friend and helper, Emily - is leaving to go to a permanent job in a Nursing Home. I don't blame her, because the price of petrol has risen so much, she is finding all the travelling from one place to another to do her cleaning etc, is costing her more money than she's actually earning. I honestly thought my lily had died, and so I put it in, in its pot, in the back porch, to await a time that Emily could put it on the compost heap!!! My son came up to see me and it was a gloriously sunny day. After we talked a lot to catch up on things which had gone on since we last saw each other - mostly all about the Disneyworld, Paris where they had gone for a week. Hiya folks, well I've not got a lot to say really - apart from the fact that I've hurt my ring finger on my right hand, so it makes typing quite difficult. I have asked my next door neighbour if his wife could pop in and have a look at it - she's a nurse. It's quite swollen and very hot, which makes me think there is some infection in there. Yep - stupid gull chick No.2 has come down onto the porch roof now!!! The third (bigger chick apparently) is still up there on the main roof. Hopefully it'll stay there. So now I have two baby chicks walking all around on the porch roof in their mess!!!! Great eh?

I opened the back door this morning to hear something walking across my porch roof - it was a baby seagull. There wasn't anyone last year because the neighbours had erected this amazing net over the chimneys to stop the seagulls nesting there. Well they were absolutely determined to have a nest there - they've been doing it for over 60 years that I know of. I thought I'd explain why there are some strange pieces on today's blog. I had some really lovely colours for decorations, and some tiny metal items to add to the design. I hadn't realised that women now like decorating their nails nowadays, and so there are lots of things that fit beautifully into my jewellry. I honestly never considered getting the dried flowers and decorations from a shop which sold items for nail decorations. Usually I have cabochons (the casings) with only…

Not a lot to say really - apart from the fact that the lounge window is open until I go to bed and the window is open in my bedroom too!!! All the time. Well the temperatures have risen a little - it's now 16C which is way so much cooler than a lot of other places, but we were warmer in the winter than others, so I suppose we have to be thankful for small mercies. It was lovely with a bright blue sky and the sun poured in the lounge bay windows. It was glorious. I just had to take some pictures of the geraniums, which are the ones that have been flowering since March 2021 !!!! It's only the white and the pink flowers that are still giving out…

I must admit that it is definitely getting warmer over here - not the kind of high temps that other parts of Europe seem to be getting. Our temps are around 17C (63F) which aren't that great compared to the late 30'sF (100F) that some of you have been experiencing. I'd like it a little bit warmer, but not as hot as you lot!!!! So since Mandi returned home, I've tried to occupy myself by doing more resin pendants and keyrings. I'm thinking of makin some pendants that could be hung up in the wi…

Well Mandi went back to Turkey about 2 hours ago and I will miss her so much. We've had a wonderful time with her here. I've been spoiled by her cooking me all the meals and getting me coffee regularly. So now I have to do the cooking myself and remember to get coffee!! I am getting so excited, my daughter, Mandi, who I haven't see in person for almost 3 years is at last coming over to see me.!!!! I can hardly believe it. Well I've noticed a little black cat who seems to think it's his garden now - and comes up most days and just relaxes. Apparently he belongs to one of my other neighbours, and he has two other siblings to play with, but he seems to be a loner, and comes up here on his own. Very pretty little thing. Well it's going to be Easter this weekend, a time when the Spring is supposed to be half way through and the temperatures warm - what's happened this year, is that the temperatures have plummited and is crawling along in the 40F's or should I say 6C!!!! It's ridiculous - with the cost of the electricity spiralling out of control, I've tried not to have the radiator on, but it's too cold to go without any heating at all - so my halogen fire is facing me and I'm okay now!!!
