Well after the last few days, my poor body is telling me to slow down for at least a day because it's been everywhere for the last week or so. So that's exactly what I'm doing - sort of. I've changed a photo in a frame, but mostly sitting down watching the Tour de France. Oh I've done the washing up.

Last night, even though I just wanted to crash down in my chair, I saw that it was a gorgeous evening and the weather people were warning us of two days of rain, I wanted to show Mickey the river from a different perspective. So we went to Lime Grove................

This is a little road going down to the river and there are some very expensive houses on the way down, but at the bottom is a tiny cove, marshland really, with the odd occasional boat moored up, but the houses at the bottom have their own little garden right on the riverbank, apart from the beautiful gardens attached to their houses. There is a place where the public can sit though on a lovely little bench facing the river...............

This is the view from the bench, see what I mean about the marshland and the moored boats - when the tide is really high, they do float, but at the moment the tides aren't very high. The big tree here is in someone's garden................

The houses in the distance are Instow, opposite Appledore where we went the other day.....

This is facing the other way - that's the new bridge with traffic passing over it, but you couldn't hear the cars - it was heavenly quiet............

Opposite are fields and yesterday I noticed some rowers practicing for the races for the Water Festival in a couple of weeks...............

We also noticed some people having a whale of a time water skiing. The river is perfect for that as the river is quite a good length with no worries about coming across heavy water traffic..........

One of my favourite views around here is this one............

I mean - isn't this just gorgeous?
