Mickey is getting me out and about a lot this week, and it's great being able to see these gorgeous places and share them with someone. Today we decided to give his back a rest, because it's been playing up since our long drive to Dartmoor. So we just went 20 miles to Hartland Point. Now this is different from Hartland Quay, and I'd never been here before, so it was new to both of us...........

The cliffs are virtually identical to the ones around the bay at Hartland Quay, [obviously] but the slippage was more pronounced here. It's a tiny bay and it's impossible to access the beach because the only way down is by road and that's closed due to rock fall...........

Shame really but necessary............

The water was so clear and gorgeous. The rocks were spread out all over the beach and into the sea making beautiful rock pools..............

This is a radar station situated on the headland and Mickey decided to walk up there, but he later said that it was much steeper to get up there than it looked.....

Here he is abandoning me again LOL.

To get there we had to drive down very narrow Devon lanes - beautiful though - considering these roads are used by many visitors to the quayside and the lighthouse, the roads are actually only 8ft wide at the most.............

AND............. guess what we saw going round one corner...............

One of those damn road signs that irked us when we went to Dartmoor - had Devon Highways bought a job lot of these?
