Mickey had said he wanted to take a couple of pictures of Bideford bridge with the tide in, and as this evening was lovely and sunny and the tide was due in, I suggested we popped down for a few minutes....
We were a bit concerned about being away from the house, as we had to wait in for the plumber, but we'd had a phone call from him to say he wouldn't be arriving until around 9.30pm as he was on another job and that was about 50 miles away. Poor thing, but I do need to have water.....
So we dashed off to the quayside for Mickey to get his pictures...... of course I had to take a few too.......
This is a view towards the bridge showing some of the smaller boats moored up alongside the quay. .....
This is looking down towards the bridge and shows the quayside but it looks all squashed up. ....
This is at the other end of the bridge which is called East of the Water, quite appropriate really seeing as it IS east of the water........ lol
Some new houses are being built overlooking the river. There are so many different ages of houses here, from Victorian, to 1930's then to the early 1990's and now 2014. ........
I turned around and here is the new bridge. It's a good thing to have because the old bridge was suffering from the weight of heavy goods vehicles and the amount of traffic, now the new bridge is carrying all those vehicles instead, leaving just local traffic for the old bridge.....
One of my favourite views - looking up the river to the bridge with the lovely countryside behind it.... the tide in and calm too. I do love living in this town, I'm so lucky to live here, with such beauty surrounding me at the coast and inland too.
We went to Hartland Point today...........

Very nice photos too.
Those houses are quite expensive but they do have a lovely view.
