I have a small white indoor rose and it's been here for about 4 years now and usually only gives me one flower per year. The original plant was full of blooms but I thought it had died completely when all the branches went brown sticks - well you would wouldn't you? Then I noticed that there was one branch with bits of green on it. I kept that in the pot and carefully nurtured it and it has rewarded me with a bloom a year.

Not this year though...............

I have three. One is fully out........

One is still in bud form............

and the other one is just a green blob at the end of a branch...

Aren't they gorgeous?

They share the window sill in my kitchen with my new Easter cactus. At the moment it has lots of blooms, but how often it will flower is unknown to me - so I'll just enjoy it while I can......

So I have colour in my home too. Now usually I tend to kill of any flowers of indoor plants, so I'll just keep on watering them carefully, the cactus having less, and maybe I'll re-pot them when they stop flowering.

A quiet day for me today - although I might just stagger upstairs and finish off the housework, or maybe I'll go to the kitchen and make some more shortbread - the last lot has now finished. A light amount of lemon extract methinks to give it a lovely tang. I may even go mad and drizzle some chocolate over it for a dare!!!!! LOL

I hope you all have a great day - I'm off to the kitchen for now..........
