At long last the weather forecasters actually got it right this time. Well they manage to get it right with rain and winds, but to really state sunshine for the whole day - wow it did!!!!!

This is what the sky looked all day - well the clouds did move, but they were so wispy....

This is what the lawn looked like, you can see why I said it needed cutting, even though it wasn't a whole week since it was last cut. Maybe Peter, who cut it, had his blades up a tad higher than I have mine. Because it hurts me to stand and use the mower, I sit on a plastic garden chair while I move the mower back and forth!! Now as the legs of the chair make holes in the grass, I also aerate the lawn - multi tasking or what?!!!!!

Boo accompanied me as per usual and found something rustling in the undergrowth and stayed like this for quite a while, til I had to move her to cut the grass.....

Pippin on the other hand just loved stretching out in the sun ..........

Half way done, while I was resting, I took some pics of the flowers around me.....

Then it was ... rest over - carry on with the mower......

Finally finished....I proceeded to dab some weed killer on the leaves of the big weeds in the lawn......... and had another rest............

The wild flowers I sowed a few weeks ago are coming up as you can see......

Even the ones that Fred the Shed raked into the earth are on their way.......

I decided to walk down the driveway - well it's sort of up and then down if you get what I mean..!!!!

As you know the dark purple lilac is plentiful in the drive, it's the best I've ever seen it.... in fact this year I do believe it's the best the flowers have ever been - well the tree blossoms etc. I mean....

There are pale purple lilac trees are more plentiful going down the drive to the road.

It's never been my favourite lilac, but when you see it like this - it's really pretty...

As you can see even the driveway is really pretty. Pippin always accompanies me when I go walkabout - there again - it is his territory too!!!!

Needless to say I don't weed this part of the driveway - Peter from next door tends to come over with his lawn mower and cuts it all down the middle of the drive - but for now I'm really happy to have the beautiful flowers there.....

Peter and Ann have this gorgeous red flower poking its head over the fence - must find out what it's called and see if I can get a cutting.

I saw this lovely little butterfly enjoying the flowers too.

Well that was my day - yesterday by the way - today I was trying to get over the exertion LOL
