My red tulip which has been stubborn and not opening has decided at last that it is just that little bit warmer and therefore it's safe for it to open its petals..........

I couldn't believe it. When I came round the corner of the house, there it was all open and thoroughly proud of itself. I switched on my super macro button on my camera and moved in for the kill....................

They have started to come out. I was so chuffed and pleased, because this means that now my driveway will be a sea of blue, as well as the sea of yellow of the buttercups/ celandines...........
