Well at long last my nightmare hair has gone. Girls you know what I mean - your hair is fine and then suddenly in one day it's totally unmanageable and it seems to have grown overnight and it's impossible to look good with it. Well that happened to me about 2 weeks ago and I was going mad trying to control my hair, but now - it's gone and I feel so much better. Okay it might be short, but at least when I try and style it - there's every good chance that I can have a decent hairstyle.

While I was out though, I thought I'd take advantage of the car and the fact that it had stopped raining, and go to somewhere new.......

I found a new place that I hadn't been to in many many years - it's a lovely little gathering of houses down a little lane and ending up at the riverside. The new bridge is quite close by and you can hear the whishing sound of the cars, but that's not too bad - just a sort of white noise.......

As you can see there are some gorgeous houses down there, bet they cost a packet too. They each have their own gardens but some of them have extra little gardens the other side of the lane, leading down to the river...........

This is the view most of them have..........

Unfortunately the tide was out and so all you could see were the mud banks - and I noticed someone has been down there and dug out some mud from the banks maybe for making pottery as the mud is clay and extremely good for pottery and we have loads of potters here in Bideford........

There was one house I really love - this is The Old Kiln and they have kept the old kilns outside and they are really good features of the house... especially now there are snowdrops accentuating them............

So lovely, I really must come down here again, although I'll wait until there is blue sky and the tide will be in - it will look completely different.

I got home and noticed to my surprise that I have a couple of primroses in the driveway.......

Is Spring actually starting to come I ask myself? Then I noticed that the large pots I've got for my daffodils and tulips are looking full of plants......

So hopefully I'll have some colour in my driveway too - fingers crossed.

Tomorrow I'm off shopping and then on Friday I'm having some fillings done to two teeth - so all in all - a sort of busy time for me. Hey when I normally only g out once a week, three things happening to me in one week is quite an upheaval for me. Also Mandi is due back home next week and then Tony's getting married - oh it's all go isn't it?

Mandi told me yesterday that she was sunbathing on her balcony in Turkey - I won't tell you what I said - but it wasn't along the lines of "How lovely darling"!!!!
