Well apparently we are in the throes of another storm to batter our shores. I may sometimes moan about living on a hill and not being able to get around very well, but at times of storm surges of 10m [30ft] high waves I am really pleased to be living here.

Last night the winds started and by this morning, the rain had lashed down and the wind was having a high old time. I put on the tv and saw the news - especially around my coastline..............

As you can see - it's a tad wild out there. Winds are gusting at 75 mph and it's the worst stormy weather in the North Devon coastline [mine by the way] in 20 years. Mandi wouldn't take me out to see it for myself, which I thought rather mean at the time, but I can say that she was quite right, because we wouldn't have been able to get near the sea and it was damn cold out there. So I have to make do with pics from others.

This is Ilfracombe which is about 25 miles from me by road, but nearer by sea......

I hope everyone is safe, even those idiots who think it's good fun to dodge the waves putting their lives at risk, especially those who get washed away and risk other peoples' lives who go out and try to save them.

Mandi has booked her return ticket to her hubby and on 18th January she will be winging her way back to Turkey. Her birthday is on 19th January so that will be a lovely birthday for her. I'll miss her, but know I've see her in a month, because she has to come back for Tony's wedding on 1st March. It's all go isn't it?

I'm off now to go and check on supper. We're having roast turkey with all the trimmings - as if we didn't have enough a week ago.!!!

PLEASE NOTE THAT NONE OF THESE PHOTOS ARE MINE - I BORROWED THEM FROM THE FREE PHOTOS ON GOOGLE.
