Well Mandi has come back at last and she had to go to the doctor before she came back. She has to go back to Exeter again next week to have a chest x-ray. The doctor wants to rule out Glandular Fever which would be an awful thing for her. I've just read up on it and a lot of the symptoms do seem to relate to her I must admit. Anyway I have made a lovely lamb stew, which is slowly cooking away in the pot, and a lot of hot drinks will keep her feeling better. She's skyping her hubby at the moment, so she's smiling a lot, but when they say goodbye, she'll drop down quickly.

Well I went outside today, because the sun came out and I thought it would be an ideal time to try out the new camera.

So these are some results, I will read up on the manual soon.............. LOL

These are macros of a bracelet of mine - the beads of it are quite small.............

I noticed the bluebells are starting to come out already on the driveway - I do hope they stay underground for a while yet, otherwise they will die if we have really cold weather.....

This is a plant that looks as if it's been told to die and it won't listen...............

Here are some daffodil and tulip bulbs coming out already - so I've had to cover them again with some compost, otherwise again, they'll die if we get really cold weather, ie snow or ice..............

Finally I tried to take a macro of some moss I saw on a piece of wood. I'm quite pleased that it's come out as well as it has. I was shaking a bit because I was only standing with the aid of a walking stick and I tend to get a tad giddy. I need a tripod for macros methinks. I've got one of those, but it was too damn cold to set it all up outside.

May I take this opportunity to wish all my friends on here a very happy New Year. Some of you are already celebrating 2014, and others will still be in this year, when I'm in next year - it's really weird isn't it how that happens............. LOL
