Right where was I?

Our first morning was wonderful with hot sun and blue skies. We decided to eat our breakfast on the tables on the beach. The sea was like a millpond and it was so quiet in the resort - wonderful.

Karen decided to put full make-up on to come down to breakfast!! We were going to spend the whole day on the beach!!!! She had to go and wipe it all off before she went to the beach! She never did it again.............

This is my "inane" attempt at my panorama button on my camera - this is the beach.

We were taken to a nearby village to visit the fresh fruit and vegetable market by a friend of Dogan's......

I swear they grow their fruit and vegetables with steroids!!!!!!!!!

I couldn't walk very far, so Dogan found me a chair to be able to sit and wait for them to have an exploration. I found myself opposite one of my favourite stalls - the Turkish Delight stall!!!! The stall holders were so helpful and friendly - they came over with samples of their wares!!!! Needless to say I really enjoyed sitting there!!! You can also see the dried herbs and spices which wafted gorgeous aromas all over the place..........

Nuts of every shape and size - oh I did have fun here too...........

It's no wonder everyone is healthy out there, with so much fresh food..........

There were loads of dried peppers hanging up..............

I took this picture of our resort from the road coming back from the market - it's a lovely little place isn't

Anyway Karen got bitten several times on her ankle and it swelled up quite quickly - so we spent a lot of the afternoon back at the hotel trying to cool it down with ice and then putting anti-histamine cream on it.............

It was her birthday on the first Sunday we were there, and she went into meltdown for a while because she was missing her Mum and her sister. I couldn't do anything about that, and did try and comfort her, but after 4 hours of it, my patience was waning!!!

Meanwhile Mandi and Dogan were getting on so well. I tried to give them as much time alone as possible (they had been apart for 6 and a half months after all!!!)

As you can see Mandi still keeps her poise!!! LOL

Okay that's enough for today - tomorrow is going to be a long one!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I have yet to tell you about Karen's excursion to Kipa (Tesco) and then to her friend about 200 miles away.
