The weather has been wonderful today. Blue skies, light winds and sun!! Bliss. It was warm all day, to the fact that I actually had the lounge window open all day. So now my house has been aired out for the first time since October. That's 6 months of cold and wet weather, no wonder we Brits talk about it all the time!

So I decided to give the grass it's first cut this year. So armed with new plastic cutters and a chair, I started to cut the grass. As I'm not too good on my feet, I need to sit down, but I've discovered a way of sitting and cutting the grass at the same time!! So although the grass was quite high and wet, it did cut well.

Here is the grass before I cut it - you can see why it really needed cutting!!............

And this..............

So I thought - right - let's get at it. Should it have been too much for me, I could always have contacted the volunteer bureau but then it would probably be a week before Fred the Shed could have come round...........

After about an hour - here is the result..........

See it wasn't too bad after all.............

So I can now look out of my lounge window and see this for the moment.

The flower beds etc need a lot of work done on them, as does the rest of the garden as this bit is just a tiny bit of the land, but hey Rome wasn't built in a day!!!!
