65. We want to be gods

Sunday June 8, 2008 at 07:05PM

Exactly at this moment, while you read those words, people all over the world are doing something. Some are on their way to wok and others on their way home from work. Some are going to sleep while others are waking up. People are being born and others are dying. Some are born into poverty while others enjoy wealth. Some die from diseases while other die of old age, are killed or die from hunger.
Australians are welcoming summer while the Nordic nations are welcoming winter. The earth spins around itself on its journey through space like millions of other planets, suns and stars in innumerable galaxies.
This is not happening one after another, but all at the same time. It’s all happening now, at this very moment.

How are we to understand that which is behind all this? That which has overview of all this and much more, happening at the exact same time?
We don’t even have overview over our own existence. Not even few hours of it.

But we are not content with that. Are we? We want to be gods. We are not content to live in peace with ourselves, as nothing, knowing nothing.
We demand to understand, to know, to be something. We demand importance so we create gods to worship and admire like Debussy, John Wayne and all the others, as the boy sang. That is the reality of our faith, religions.

Instead of seeing, and understanding, who and what we are and be in peace with that, which would be the true religion, true faith, we create around us glory and grace to decorate ourselves with so we can be something.
Some of us truly believe that humans are the center of the universe. That everything is about us. We see ourselves as the crown of the creation and around all that our existence rotates.

The mess in the world should not come as a surprise, for the core of our existence is conflict and struggle, which is hate. And all we find around us is first within us.
This is how we are. This is what the crown of the universe, the mighty god man, is capable of creating.

As long as we demand importance, to be something, we maintain the mess in the world. That is unavoidable.
If there should be peace we have to see and understand, totally, that truth is life and 'it' us each and everyone. And if 'it' is one 'it' is another and everything then one and the same. There could never be separation, discrimination.
We have to give up our importance.

We have to see ourselves as one. Not one meaning hands, foot, head and so on, but one with all live.
Truth can only be one, unchangeable and everlasting, the same today and all days.
Truth is life and 'it' us and everything.
