Help needed!

I know, you all want to get over with the bad experience at the other site, but I could really use your help.

I'm looking for any exceptional photograph that is currently marked restricted at Flickr. This could be anything, a tasteful nude act, an image from a war zone, a picture showing animal suffering, anything.

The only requirement is that it is a really, really good photo, i.e. something that could be printed in a magazine ad. And it has to be on Flickr and it has to marked restricted (moderate does not suffice).

If you know of such a photo, please let me know. Thanks!

Size and growth of Ipernity

When I signed up to Ipernity on Saturday, Léa d'Ipernity had less than 2500 contacts (don't remember the exact number, it was in the low 2000s). Now it's more than 4000.

That tells me two things: Ipernity is really small and the user base nearly doubled in the last week.

Member tags! But what about geotagging?

I just found out that you can add tags to a picture that specifically refer to a member. I've put myself on this photo, if you click on the linked tag, you'll see (of course) all pictures with this tag plus a link to the profile of the member.

Nifty!

What I haven't found so far is how to geotag a pictures. I know you can set your geopoint, i.e where you normally are. However, I would advise against being to precise with that on the internet.

Flickr: I'm still fighting (contact you representatives!)

I've been busy at the other site. Although marginalized and isolated the protest is still strong, which renews my faith in the Flickr community. So I'm not giving up on them.

I've decided to contact my representatives at the Bundestag and European Parliament. If you are inclined to do the same, please see this post.

I suggest sending FAXes.

PS: I've been told that these people like to hear from their constituents. So let them know how you feel about all this.

flickr hates me

At least that's the impression I get from their abysmal behavior in the last days.

I haven't yet packed my stuff and left them for good. Right now, I still think that we can win this fight and I'm not giving up.

But this does not bode well for the future of Flickr, especially regarding the recent history of Flickr and especially Yahoo. The latest ban on German and other Flickr users is yet another slap in the face of Yahoo's customers and this time I'm personally affected. Honestly, I have a very hard time seeing myself associated with them.

Anyways, ipernity seems nice. That it's French is assuring and somewhat intriguing.
