Tomorrow is Thanksgiving, a time when Americans give thanks for all they have. Some Americans don't have all that much and there are many different shelters, churches and agencies who try to make sure that everyone has a Thanksgiving day meal. We could try to do this more often as for the main part these same folks go pretty much without the rest of the year.

I am thankful for a new grandson, and more thankful that he does not look like me!  that would be pretty sad. Anyway he is healthy and happy and he has his own mother and father to thank for that.

Haven't heard back from my interview but got another query about a possible position as a consultant. The word is getting around and so it makes me feel a little more at ease (secure) that I still have some options at my age. Not ready to retire yet.

At work, my associate and I have work areas that are next to the windows facing south from our building. A couple of guys who did not get laid off have been around measuring our cubicles and flipping coins for who will sit where. My associate is pretty angry about this insensitivity, he keeps saying (aloud), "I'm NOT DEAD!" (from the movie "The Holy Grail"). It is pretty rude for them to be building your casket while you are still breathing.

Thanksgiving is still my favorite time and I do have much to be thankful for, most of all for family and good friends which I count some of you among them. Thanks for your friendship, direction and helpful comments, they are always appreciated.

Hope you all have something to be thankful for, even if you do not celebrate!
