Sunday June 29, 2008 at 09:36PM

Heute habe ich vier Versionen von "Nude On A Dark Stairway" hochgeladen:

burning color edit

soft & washed out color edit

soft grey edit

hard b&w edit

Danke!

Today I uploaded four versions of "Nude On A Dark Stairway". Which version do you like best and why? Thank you!

I like the Burning Color edit. They are all excellent by the way.
The reason I like this one best...... I don't know - my eye gets drawn to it and I have a feeling it's because of the warm glow of the wood..... when I shoot I try to keep the wood cozy and warm looking - to me this is how it looks in your shot and thus I like this one best..... which do you like?

Thank you - and it's the first time, somebody returns this question at me! My favorite color version is the burning color edit, too. I like the descent, vintage and washed out style very much, too, but the burning color rocks much more in my taste. The favorite b&w-version depends a little bit on the image size - the bigger it gets, the more I like the hard b&w edit. And so this is my favorite b&w edit, because i like the very dark background, the geometry (almost a black square in top-left-quarter) and the very bright skin, even though the skin tones and the shadows are much finer in the soft grey edit. If i had to chose one, I'd go for the burning color edit.

For me right away it as the burning color edit simply because of the red lipstick. I really pulls you in. For the B&W it does depend on the size of the image your looking at, as you say. From a thumbnail the soft grey works. Full page, the harder shadow of the Hard B&W adds depth.
