Since registering with ipernity just a few weeks ago I'm wondering what my first blog entry should be about. I didn't want to simply start with a "Hello World!" message, neither wanted I to point out why I might (or yet: will) leave flickr. But now I found my first topic... ;-)

Thanks to the greasmonkey scripts I just mass imported my images from flickr to ipernity. Unfortunately the order of the images became a bit mixed up, but thinking of the time safed I'd say that's little a price.

So. No I'll have to check through the images and do some cleanup. But that's work for tomorrow.

So. Yesterday I transferred all my pictures from flickr to here. Today I "organised" the most of them into albums. The currently two best "organised" albums are those of my vacations in Down Under: Australia 1999 and DownUnder 2002. In the first of them now all images are again GeoTagged, for the other that will follow soon.

Fitting the topic I would also like to link you to a webpage of a friend of mine which does really great photographs, in this case last year in Australia. (Notice: Quality above Quantity. ;-) )

returning from greece before midday, I used the rest of the day for geotagging all my not already tagged images transferred from flickr and I marked all of them with the keyword first-on-flickr. I also did some linkfixing within the image descriptions, since hyperlinks within the description where not transferred by the greasmonkey-scripts.

so, I'd say my moving from flickr is finished. Now I just have to request Y! for refund of my money...
