Israel Attacks Boat Kidnaps Human Rights Workers

Israel's arrogance seems to have no bounds encouraged by the utter and complicit silence of the world governments. What distinguishes the attack and kidnapping carried out by Israel from the ones we have seen lately off the coast of Somalia? In the latter case no one hesitated calling those "acts of piracy". However, in the case of Israel's attack on the Spirit of Humanity not a word of condemnation, not a peep, no outrage and no demand for respect of international law and norms. Isn't it time---way past time in my opinion--that Israel is held to account? World, get over your guilt trip. Wake up and realize that by your silence you are committing another injustice and allowing another atrocity to unfold and two wrongs do not make a right as the saying goes.

Buying Access

For those naive enough to think that mainstream media is a truly objective and neutral entity the purpose of which is to shed light on events and news, here is some food for thought:

Washington Post publisher Katharine Weymouth said today she was canceling plans for an exclusive "salon" at her home where for as much as $250,000, the Post offered lobbyists and association executives off-the-record access to "those powerful few" — Obama administration officials, members of Congress, and even the paper’s own reporters and editors.

The astonishing offer was detailed in a flier circulated Wednesday to a health care lobbyist, who provided it to a reporter because the lobbyist said he felt it was a conflict for the paper to charge for access to, as the flier says, its “health care reporting and editorial staff."

Prevented from Leaving to Study

The siege of Gaza continues. Buildings destroyed during the Israeli massacre six months ago remain in rubbles: no building materials are allowed in. Food, fuel, medicine and other necessary materials and equipment are prevented from entering the Gaza strip. The sick cannot leave to receive treatment elsewhere and no one else is allowed to leave for any reason. Philp Weiss posted the video below on his blog Mondoweiss where a Palestinian young woman from Gaza who has won a scholarship was prevented from leaving.

Well I am not sure how much more needs to happen before boycott, divestment and sanctions (BDS) be imposed on the Apartheid state of Israel. As with the Apartheid regime of South Africa, the Apartheid State of Israel needs to be held to account. Join the call to bycott, divest and sanction Israel for its ctions. Apartheid in South Africa was unacceptable and its unacceptable anywhere.

Bookstore destroyed

Well if it was a synagogue or a "Jewish" institution of one sort or another that was attacked, vandalized, destroyed or desecrated the outrage would rightly be deafening. We would hear about how anti-semitism is on the rise and how Jews are threatened and attacked only because they are Jews. What is the reaction to this attack by Zionist thugs and terrorists--yes zionists are the first terrorists in th the Middle East and it does not matter if their leaders became prime ministers or other government officials.

What is the reaction of the French government and police? Would they decry this terrorist attack? Go after the JDL (Jewish Defense League) terrorist thugs? Or would they sweep it under the rug so as not to appear anti-semitic?
