Music from the 80's

Oh wow... I really can't choose between them. You see, the thing is, in the 80's I was in my twenties and having a blast ;o) I listened to the rock, the disco, the punk... you name it ;o)

But I'll try and think hard and dig up some old favourite... I'll be back :o)

LOL, I'm having a major anxiety attack here trying to choose! (I'm a Libra) ;o)

I think living in the '80s was a bit different than "remembering" the '80s. There were so many musical genres and so many artists emerging... and I listened to so much and different music... but when one looks back one tends to remember songs like Final Countdown with Europe and such.

One of the songs that somehow capture the mood and the spirit of the '80s for me is Total eclipse of the heart, sung by Bonnie Tyler ;o)

But apart from that I listened to Queen, Pink Floyd, Status Quo, Dire Straits, Meatloaf, Blondie, ELO, Smokie, Stranglers, The Gibb brothers, Madonna, Van Halen, Bangles... *breathe* ... and many many many more!

What made the 80´s ridiculous was Modern Talking, Sandra, Rick Astley, Sabrina, Samantha Fox and the likes...

And the worse!!! You cannot forget them neither!!! :S :((((

The only thing I can say to fandorin is all that bands still make good albums. I still like Motley Crue, Alice Cooper, Poison.... (listen to Saints Of Los Angeles, it rocks).
I named those bands, but I could say too Metallica, Iron Maiden, Ministry, Def Leppard, Brian Adams, WASP, and a ton more.
The first LP I ever bought was "The Final Countdown". I grow up with all those bands.

The 80s - it was the decade I went to school. So the music reminds of these days of growing up and all the confusion that came to my head ;-) So "my" music is a bit different: New Order, Bronski Beat, Depeche Mode, Bomb the bass, S-Express, Beastie Boys, ...

Yeah. This was also my way! ;o)

Oh, so we had a nice way together - maybe with a lot of the 80s kids. Now I'm somewhere between alternative mainstream (or how anyone would call it?) and whatever ;-)

Lots of Italo music on that chain!! I like it too!

I am a children of the late 70´s, 80´s and part of the 90´s as for the XXI century you know all too well my tendencies, I believe, Gina!! ;)

But I do think that it does not matter how Noizy we can get, the roots of Electronic we have to dig them looking back in time, specially if we have lived those times...

now THAT'S a list, amimar... the first 2 furs albums are stellar.and who'd forget the jesus and mary chain...hüsker dü and all that great stuff from new zealand...

Normally I don't like too much noisy stuff yet. I prefer Ambient or 80's now. Maybe it depends on needing the power for studying not for the music.

But yes, next weekend it's different!

And if I am honest. I like(d) not just the electronical stuff like Marcel. I also like things like Kool and the Gang. But some songs from different bands are great. I will write it down soon. (Special favs!)
