The end is near...

Yes... my first holidays are coming so soon...
The first half year at school went good but now I am happy to get a break.

Today we talked about the wishes for the holidays. Do you know what's about my wish?

Schon mal was von Fritz Fabert gehört?

Hier mal zwei Beispiele:

Begleittext im Newsletter:

Fritz Fabert

My Website

Sometimes we have good days and can create very quickly something new. So I used the last two days for refreshing my website. First I thought to make it more in English but then I decided to write the most things in German. It's easier for me.

I am glad about the result. No *blink* here or crazy things there. I wanted a "simple" design for the site with focus at the gallery.

Her are some screenshots (including the link to the page)

Still Alive

Hello friends,

a short update...

New life at school is fantastic. I really love to work with the kids again but I still have to learn a lot.
My team is damn cool and helpful. The best thing could happen to me.

Anyhow I don't miss to take photos at the moment. And I have to be honest: I don't have time and lust to visit Ipernity every day although I am online daily. Real life is so colorful again and I want to get in touch without photos yet. I can be creative in another way... talking with the kids and teaching them is a different way of creativity but it's amazing.

I don't want to leave Ipernity and it's too bad I was to lazy with my contacts here the last weeks and month. Maybe another way of communication is better if someone want.

But don't forget:
Care about yourself, think positive and don't do too much things you don't want to do!

Best wishes
GiNa

New Chapter

I thought I find more time for Ipernity after finishing the University-time and before the next chapter is starting. Haha... 1000 things I find to do which I wanted to do since ages but I didn't knew that. So nothing changed and not much pix.

Friday is my first "working" day. I am really curious what will happen the next two years.

I just wanted to let you know...

EDIT:
Monday October 12, 2008 at 12:32PM

The last chance till January 19. I highly recommend it.
I was so impressed of this exhibition. Avedon's work is really awesome. The portraits are telling so much and you can discover so much details. The most interesting exhibition for me I ever saw.

If you haven't the chance for Berlin... you have the chance to visit this website.
(At Archive you can find the worx.)

Veranstalter
Berliner Festspiele.

International Cooking

I really love cooking (especially for 2 or more). Normally I am a freestyle-cooker (if I can say this, in German I would say "Frei-nach-Schnauze" )

The last two days I tried to cook again with recipe. Over years I hated this way of cooking. I never wanted to read while cooking and I never wanted to must buy the ingredients of a recipe before. I always cook with the ingredients I have at home (most the time with fresh vegetables).
Cooking with a recipe - now I thing it's a chance for me to learn more how to create extraordinary meals and learning more about how people all over the world are cooking.

So please tell me recipes you really like (ingredients and a short "howtodo")! Maybe we can make a little international collection.

I must be stupid but I did it!

LOL... Nothing is wrong... hehe...

But I stood up early (7.30 am) although it's weekend and I don't have to work or something else.

I wanted to use the morning for taking pictures in the Winter Wonderland early in the morning cause the light is very awesome at this time and not many people are on the streets. Now I have to check the results. Maybe some photos are worth to show it here.

Berlin - New Year's Eve - accommodation?

Can someone tell us a cheap and free accommodation please? Or where I can have a look for it?

We decided a bit too late, where we want to go for New Year's Eve. But I hope we can make it. Not only for seeing the two exhibitations (Richard Avedon and Robert Lebeck )

Would be nice if someone can help...

Suggest To A Group

I just was amazed that I can get a failed if I want to suggest a group at a picture.

Is there a possibility to stop invitations from a I-am-not-member-of-this-group? Or other settings?

Game Over

Today I finished my last viva. It wasn't so good cause I was too nervous. But now it's over.
Just have to wait for the result of my examination paper and than for my certification. I am lucky that nothing more is to learn and to finish this year.
(Ok, learning I will never stop... but now other things can get more attention.)

It's a bit strange to finish a thing which you have done over the last 4 years. But life goes on.

November 10, 2008

I am waiting for the end of November...

You all know what stress is. My November will be really stressful - a bit more than the last months. I have to finish my examination paper (You know I write about Kids and Photography. Normally I wanted to be more active in this group and discuss more with you but anyhow it didn't worked. Sorry.)

And than is also the last viva this month.

After this I have just to wait... wait for the results and for my certification. I hope it will happen till the time I need it for going further. But it's not in my hand... (I am a little optimistic person. Some things in life have to go in a good way! Don't want to think about yet if not.)

Maybe I will paint another painting in the next weeks cause I am nearlly unable to take photos in the moment. (But the positive side of it: Now I know much more about photography...) So don't forget me till December!

Ah... one thing I don't want forget:

Did you ever heard about Wendy Ewald? Some infos are here but maybe you find some other good links.
I was really impressed about her work with the kids. Got a book called
"Geheime Spiele: Gemeinschaftsprojekte mit Kindern 1969 – 1999"
and the photos of the kids are so wonderful.
(The English title is "Secret Games: Collaborative Works With Children 1969-1999")

That's all for today. Take care my friends and in December I am here again with more power and more pix of cause! (My boyfriend bought two new lenses I cannot test it... DAMN!)

Edit:
Forget to let you know that one of my youngest friends arrived @ Ipernity...
