since yesterday evening (July 2nd) I have problems with the upload of pictures - i can upload, but the conversion on ipernity takes forever and finally gives a time out, the pictures do not appear in my list. Is it me or do you have the same problem? Bug report is already submitted.

No, this is not the first ipernity-posting for a bigger penis or breasts (use body part corresponding to your sex). it is about picture size. I don't know what other people do with pictures - I download my favs and use them as wallpaper on my computers (randomly changing - each day a new surprise). This is why I also store my own pictures in a format of ca. 1200 pixels.

I am really disappointed if I find a really good picture only in a size of 500pixels - they are not even good to look at on ipernity-screen, used as wallpapers they just look ugly. I understand that theft of pictures is a potential reason for that, but I am somehow disappointed if I see these crippled pictures here. This is why I rarely fav and comment these pictures.

One thing I would like to recommend to the system guys: why do they not include information about the authors in IPTC or EXIF parts? Once I wanted to use a picture for a presentation, but I was not able to remember who made it...

Gerade musste ich das Live Earth Spektakel kucken - es kotzt mich mittlerweile nur noch an, wie die Kommerzsender jetzt den Klimaschutz entdecken und ich fühle mich einfach nur verarscht. Allein die Ahnungslosigkeit der Pro7-Moderatoren zeigt deutlichst, dass denen das Thema im Grunde völlig egal ist, solange die Werbeeinnahmen und die Quoten stimmen. Wieder so eine Laberveranstaltung, die dem Klimaschutz ebensowenig hilft wie "Life Aid" Afrika geholfen hat. Die wissenschaflichen Grundlagen liegen seit 20 Jahren auf dem Tisch, gehandelt wird immer noch nicht. Und Al Gore ist mit der schlimmste: lebt in einem Riesenhaus und macht einen auf Klimaschützer. Ich habe sein letztes Buch gelesen ("Earth in a Balance"). Das Buch fand ich nicht schlecht, den darin enthaltenen religiösen Kram allerdings befremdend. Was mich aber *richtig* geärgert hat, ist dass er als Vizepräsident absolut nichts durchgesetzt hat von dem was er in dem Buch noch laut angekündigt hat. Ich fürchte, diesmal wird es nicht anders sein: er surft auf der Klimaschutzwelle aber umgesetzt ist damit noch lange nichts. Letzten Endes dient die Veranstaltung nur Gores persönlicher Profilierung. Dem Klimaschutz hierzulande wäre am meisten damit geholfen, wenn die wärmetechnische Sanierung von Mietwohnungen endlich auf den Weg gebracht würde - und nicht mit ein paar Energiesparbirnen. Nachzulesen in einem 10 Jahre alten Bericht des Sachverständigenrats für Umweltfragen (jetzt WBGU).

p.s.: sorry für die Vulgärausdrücke - aber mein Bauch wollte es so.
