Modernisme

He estado de paseo por uno de los edificios que más me gusta de Barcelona: el Hospital de Sant Pau i la Santa Creu. Es un hospital modernista reformado a principios de SXX por Domènech i Montaner según los principios modernistas. Aunque está muy cerca de la Sagrada Familia (los une un agradable avenida con terracitas, frondosos árboles y farolas diseñadas por Gaudí) no está tan concurrido por los turistas. Con unas cuantas fotos del hospital inauguro el álbum Modernisme, que iré ampliando poco a poco...

I've been walking around one of the spots I like most in Barcelona: Sant Pau's Hospital. It's a modernist hospital rebuilt at the beginning of the 20th century by Domènech i Montaner, following modernist principles. It's close to the Sagrada Familia, only separated by a nice avenue with many terraces, pleasant trees and street lights desinged by Gaudi, but not so popular as the church emblem of Barcelona. If you ever go there don't miss this hospital, you'll regret it! With a new set called "modernisme" I want to honour not only this wonderful building, but all these magical modernist corners Catalonia is full of. I will be adding more pictures soon...
