My father circa 1954 South Korea

While looking at this camera in the market it fired. Prompting my dad to buy it. Eighteen months of memories resulted. Recorded in our family album along with the weddings and births.

bebe says he loves gazing in my eyes. the longer i look at them myself the more i see my father looking back at me.

ancient mutterings run through my head at no one in particular. you dopes ! you goddamn fool!

bebe says i've changed since berlin. i'm not the pliant little girl he met three years ago. that pleases and worries him. i'm certain he's right.

when i look into the mirror i see my father's eyes, his unfaltering gaze. i remember his determination.
